• Ms. Fine is a Florida native born in Orlando, Florida and raised in DeLand. She is a graduate of DeLand High School and the University of Florida. She graduated with honors from the University of Florida Levin College of Law in 1981. After graduation she practiced as an associate with the Gainesville firm of Watson, Folds, Steadham, Sproull, Christmann & Brashear, P.A., from 1981-1983.

  She taught legal research and writing at the University of Florida College of Law. From 1993-1998 she practiced as a partner in the law firm of Springfield & Fine, P.A., specializing in criminal defense law. She is a past president of the Eighth Judicial Circuit chapter of The Florida Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers and is a member of the Criminal Law Section of the Florida Bar Association. She published an article in the Florida Criminal Law Journal on preservation of appellate issues after the Criminal Appeal Reform Act of 1996.

  She has been associated with the firm of Fine, Farkash & Parlapiano, P.A., since 2003, and a partner since 2008. She regularly participates as an instructor in the Trial Advocacy course that the Honorable Stephan P. Mickle teaches at the University of Florida Levin College of Law and as a judge for the Appellate Advocacy program.

  She now exclusively represents victims of personal injury in claims against negligent parties.

  In 1980, Jack J. Fine founded the firm, which is now known as Fine, Farkash & Parlapiano, P.A. Our firm is a medium sized plaintiff's law firm providing individualized service to people injured by the negligence of others. We believe our smaller size ensures our clients will receive personal care. We have focused our practice on civil litigation representing injured folks. We strive to offer the best representation within that area of the law.

We are proud of our attorneys and staff. The attorneys are caring and understanding at a time when you need the most critical help you may ever require in your life.

  Our firm includes four lawyers, three legal assistants, two supporting assistants, six to eight legal clerks and administrative personnel and investigators. All of our lawyers have considerable courtroom experience. We don't have to retain separate litigation attorneys. We have up to date litigation support equipment that includes legal research tools through Westlaw online. Being in Gainesville, Florida we have easy access to the University of Florida Levin College of Law, should your case present a particularly obscure legal issue.

  Our support staff is just that: a support staff. There is no bureaucracy in our firm. The lawyers in the firm personally handle all the cases in the office. Although we provide individualized hands-on representation, we nonetheless work with attorneys and clients throughout the state. so that when he dies I will automatically get the money but I cant because I am claiming housing benefit and it would stop even though I would not have access to the money till he dies. The health care reform bill has already affected some. Children are covered under their parent's plan until the age of 26 under the new law. So my nephew, who is still living at home and working part-time, is still covered. Most of the law doesn't go into effect until 2014. If you're covered under an employer's health insurance plan, as most adults are, it won't affect you at all. . For the people who say that their health insurance premiums went up and that must be because of the new law. I remember that my health insurance premiums went up every years before Obama passed the health insurance reform bill. I remember several times that my employer switched insurance companies because they got too expensive and that was long before Obama was president. Health insurance premiums went up because that's what health insurance prices do.
