Hi I live in Detroit Michigan area and I have a question about the proper filing of an assignment of mortgage. Okay I got my house loan June of 06 from bank A well bank A sold to bank B like 2 months later. Bank A went bankrupt. Okay so cruising along fast forward to 2011 fell on hard times etc etc mortgage went in to default then the loan is excelerated then foreclosure letters came I tried doing a loan modification what a joke that is. Well I'm like if it happens it happens well. That was May of 2011 were in November now still no filings I'm like what the heck I check the paper work at the county building still says bank A. Did a little more digging come to find out they spelled my last name wrong 1st off well my Question is if they filed in may of 2011 for the assignment of mortgage is the foreclosure mill or who ever signed the paperwork and dated May of 2011 is when bank A sold to bank B cause I have a letter saying when Bank B took it over in 06 another thing it looks like it was Robo signed the handwriting looks the same for the whole could someone maybe weigh in I'm wondering if I should sit down with an attorney and if I do what kind ?.
