If they do acknowledge the claim, they then have 14 days to submit a defence (making 28 days in total from the date the claim was served). If they don't then you can again request a "Judgement by Default", and get back your charges, interest and court fees as above.. . If they file a defence, then you and the bank get an "Allocation Questionnaire" to fill in. Some judges dismiss the case at this stage, as the bank can't win, so again you win. If this doesn't happen, a hearing date is allocated. The bank will either back out before the hearing, or won't turn up in court. Again you win the case and get your charges, interest and fees.. . Follow the correct procedures and you will get your charges back! Its important to send all letters to the bank and courts by recorded delivery, so you can prove they were received, and more importantly when they were received (which you can find from the tracking section of the Royal Mail web site).. . Also make sure that you send all letters to the banks head office, and not your local branch. Don't phone the bank either, as this can delay things and you have no proof of whats been said.. . Wow! Great idea! You may want to chat your plans with Service Clubs, Social Services Agencies. Be sure to consult your lawyer, insurance agent (liability issues), as well.. . Maybe a written business plan is your starting point?. . Good Luck.. . Oh - it might be good to help people help themselves. Nothing better than getting them to raise their self-esteem by working to their level of ability..... :o)

big question. 16 yrs old, school question/college/advice please?

I have been renting properties with many different agencies over the years so have experience but today on accepting a property which I am going to be moving into in October, I was shocked to be told at the very last minute after handing them about 1 and a half thousand pounds for rent and a deposit etc, that I have to pay them another ?20 a month for insurance, which I have never paid with any agency in my life. Also for every year I am there, I have to pay them an extra ?40 plus VAT, which they called an anniversary fee. I have never heard of, or had to pay this ever before either. When I queried the insurance, they said it was compulsory but I was just thinking - what if I already had my own home insurance and why , if it's compulsory have I never had to pay it with other very well known agencies? Also, surely, the longer I am there the better it would be for them, so why are they think they can charge me extra for this is beyond me. Are they just making there own rules up as they go along and has anybody else ever been charged like this?. Many thanks..
