  • Bernard M. Tully, Esquire - 30 Years Trial Experience & Former Assistant District Attorney I was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, on August 28th, 1952. My dad was a Pittsburgh City Detective and my mom was a devoted housewife. I graduated from Bishop Canevin High School in 1970 and was a wrestler for the Canevin Crusaders. I then attended Duquesne University where I received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science in 1974. I had a high grade point average at Duquesne University and it piqued my interest in studying the law.

I then worked for two years with the Nuclear Utilities Services (NUS) and CW Rice Company, an environmental company. We were involved in collecting water samples in the Finger Lakes area up by Cornell University. After that, it was on to law school where I graduated with a law degree from Ohio Northern University School of Law in 1979.I passed the Pennsylvania Bar Exam on my FIRST try and became a licensed Pennsylvania lawyer in 1979. That same year (1979), I was fortunate enough to be hired as an Assistant District Attorney. This is a job sought after by most new lawyers because it meant that I was going into the courtroom immediately to begin trying cases. New attorneys usually have to wait several years before they have their first jury trial. I was very lucky in that regard because I did not have to serve that period of apprenticeship hoping to get into a trial some day. Believe it or not, in my first jury trial, I was given the file literally 5 minutes before the trial began and was told to "do your best". What an experience that was! After leaving the District Attorney's Office in 1985, I worked for two years with a local law firm that handled personal injury cases exclusively, including auto accidents, truck accidents, slip and fall injuries, and workers compensation cases. I gained additional valuable trial experience with the firm since I was often trying cases that no one else wanted. In 1987, I decided to open my own law office, dedicated to helping people like you who are injured in accidents or who have been accused of crimes. My first real secretary was my mom. Have you ever tried telling your mom to get you a coffee? Her usual response was "get it yourself"!!I live in the North Hills area of Pittsburgh. My wife, Michelle, and I have 5 children. We currently have 2 children that attend North Allegheny High School and one child at Sewickley Academy. Kevin, my oldest son, graduated from the University of Pittsburgh and is now a law student at Widener University School of Law. Beth, my oldest daughter, is happily married with a new born baby boy (Ben) living in Des Moines, Iowa. She graduated from Ohio University. Why is any of this important to you? Because I have received the experience necessary to get the maximum value for you based on my prior 30 years of trial experience. 30+ years of courtroom experience in dealing with almost every kind of injury case there is. That is a lot of situations. Chances are very good that I have handled cases similar to yours (although no two cases are the same). All of this leads to the point of this biography: You can take advantage of my experience in getting you the maximum value by simply calling me 1-800-491-4996. Should a doctor be able to over-ride an advance directive to save a patients life when there is a good chance that the patient will recover and can resume living a normal life?.

I need tips and examples of cover letters for resumes...?

It is with both regret and anticipation that I submit this letter of resignation, effective December 29, 1999. I have accepted a position with CDE Company, an opportunity to further my current career goals and achieve growth within the new company through a supervisory role.
