The passport, if it isn't expired, is all you need when starting a job. You need to know your social security number, but you do not need to show it.

A graphic designer would deal with logos, templates for websites, 2d graphics. I would would include:. self portrait, any contest work, or school competition, you might want to also do some charcoal and color drawings (still lifes: a simple geometric shape and a nice organic form (person animal) with cloths. (see link one)) which you will do during your first semester in college. You should start collecting different mediums that way when you do take the classes you are familiar with the tools. You might also want to create a couple of pieces that are abstract,in high school I was asked to create an image only using one element to create that piece. Meaning i chose a pencil, from which every part of the piece was a pencil. I drew a praying mantis, his eyes were pencils, his wings were pencils, his arms, etc. Finally you might also want to include some sculptures that you may have done or you can make some using thing from the house. One of my favorite ones is toilet paper and glue, and its like a paper clay and when it dries its pretty hard. you will need a wire frame and maybe build it up with some tape to make the paper stick.. Overall you want a well rounded portfolio showing that you have an interest in the arts.

Left hand credit: You earn $10,000 - your taxes would be $1000, but you can take advantage of the $2000 credit. Now, instead of OWING $1000, you're due a refund of $1000, because the credit wipes out the $1000 you owe, and leaves you with another $1000 that will be paid to you.. . The AOTC is a credit. You'll figure out your taxes - and then you'll apply the credit. The amount of the credit isn't a fixed amount, like the credit I made up in my example - the amount of the credit is determined by how much you spent on certain educational expenses this past year. You can only get the credit for expenses that you paid for tuition, fees and required books and materials.. . The credit is $1 for each of the first $2000 you spent, and then 25% of the next $2000. If you spent $4000 on tuition, fees and materials, your credit is ($2000 x 1) + ($2000 x .25) = $2500.. . If you spent $2300, the credit is ($2000 x 1) + ($300 x .25) = $2075.. . Things start getting a little complicated, so I'm not going to explain the entire process, but basically, you can get back as much as 40% of the credit as a refund. Suppose you are eligible for the maximum $2500 credit, and you don't otherwise owe anything for taxes (you mentioned that you had very little income, so this could well be true.). Because of that 40% refund rule, you won't get a refund of the entire $2500, but you will get a refund of $1000 (40% of $2500).. . If you're going to claim the AOTC, you're going to have to fill out a special IRS form (Form 8863) and attach it to your tax return. I would STRONGLY recommend that you leave the calculation of this credit to a qualified tax professional - but it's DEFINITELY worth doing that, because you may qualify for a nice $1000 check from the IRS. Don't just shrug your shoulders, say "it's too complicated" and forget about it.. . Good luck to you! I hope this helped a little bit.

of course to protect myself. What type of lawyer do I need to be looking for, and what price range?. It would also help if someone could tell me what TYPE of contract I am looking to have drafted. What would this be called?.
