Do I need to pay and if so how much.

I have a question about buying receivables. Lets say company A wants to buy the account receivables of a cash strapped company called company B. Company B has $2,000,000 in receivables and sells them to Company A for $1,000,000.. So my questions are:. 1) Does Company A record the receivables at $2,000,000 or $1,000,000 on their books?. . 2) Does Company A have to discount the total amount of receivables? (Time value of money). . 3) How are the gains/losses treated on the receivables once they collect them?. . 4) Does the ownership of the receivables transfer to Company A? Meaning who picks up the bad debt expense on uncollectible accounts.. . Please provide sources if you can. Thank you..

It's unlikely they will change the name. Even if the parents are unmarried and the child is given the father's name on the birth certificate and then the couple breaks up and the mother wants the baby to have her name, she has to wait a year or have good proof that the father is not in the child's life in order to legally change the name. There is no way the court will change it to the father's name during a custody battle if the child has the mother's name and the parents were unmarried.

Is there a lawyer representing your daughter in this matter? If not you need to find one before the case starts. The sooner the better so the lawyer is up to speed on the intricacies of the case. Without professional representation your daughter could lose. I would also have the attorney draw up a trust where the money is not accessible to her except for college until she reaches a certain age.

I live in Illinois and I wanted to know if I could legally get my last name changed to my mom's maiden name. If I can, how is the process?.

You need to get with the patient advocate at your hospital as well as your mom's personal attorney. It is possible that filed with the Will she prepared at some point in her life, is a health care proxy and a Power of Attorney already drafted and signed for just this circumstance.
