He is a Los Angeles County Superior Court certified mediator who formerly served on the paid and unpaid?mediation and arbitration panels of the Los Angeles County Superior Court. He is currently a member of the Southern California Mediation Association. In addition, Mr. Wechsler served on the California Appellate Project, a court sponsored program for indigent defendants.

    Mr. Wechsler received his law degree, cum laude, from Loyola Law School, where he?was awarded membership in the Order of the Coif, a national honor society for law school graduates. He was honored with the American Jurisprudence Awards for highest grade in Legal Writing and Corporations and received the highest grade in more than a half dozen other classes. Therefore, he was the recipient of the Faculty Academic Honors Scholarship. He was elected Vice President of the Saint Thomas More Honor Society and was admitted as a member of the venerable legal fraternity, Phi Delta Phi. He also served as an extern for the honorable Justice Sheila Prell Sonenshine in the California Court of Appeal, Fourth District, Division Three.

I understand changing the surname, because it would be confusing for a child to grow up with a different surname to their family, but why change the first and middle name too? Even if the child is a baby, when their adoptive parents change their name completely it seems like their taking away the child's identity and trying to pretend that they're somebody else. Why would they do that? Just because the child is getting adopted it doesn't make them a different person does it? I'm not trying to offend anyone who has changed the name of a child I'm just curious.. I know that sometimes the birth parents don't name the child, but I'm talking about when they do..
