• Mr. Wells is a transplanted mid-westerner who has lived in Las Vegas since 1972. After graduating from the University of Colorado School of Law that year, he packed everything he owned into a beat up Volkswagen bug and headed out over the mountains to Las Vegas and has been practicing law here ever since. He was recruited by the law firm of Beckley, Delanoy, Jemison and Reid where he started out as a law clerk in June of 1972 and was then eligible to take the Nevada bar in 1973. Senator Harry Reid, then Lieutenant Governor Reid, and Mr. Wells have remained good friends to this day.

  After practicing primarily insurance defense for 4 years with the Beckley firm, Mr. Wells moved on to join another law firm which eventually merged with former Mayor Oscar Goodman’s law firm, where Mr. Wells was a senior associate in charge of all civil litigation including contested divorces. Part of his practice at that time included representing various casino owners, such as Allen Glick, and others involved in hotels represented by Mr. Goodman’s firm before the Nevada Gaming Commission. His children are fascinated by the fact that there are a couple of scenes in the movie Casino where Mr. Wells was actually present when the events depicted occurred. Mr. Wells was active in the defense of various hotel executives in connection with their licensing problems and successfully represented the Tropicana Hotel in its litigation with the Gaming Control Board over the licensing of its entertainment director. The trial of this case generated considerable publicity as it took place in Carson City and was a test case by the Nevada authorities to challenge the so-called Frank Sinatra exception in the licensing statutes. After forming his own law firm in the late 1980's, Mr. Wells has not represented any casino “personalities” other than in connection with divorce litigation.

  The focus of Mr. Wells’ practice for 40 years has been civil litigation with emphasis on contested divorces and insurance defense. While there are not a lot of practitioners who litigate in both those areas, Mr. Wells has been doing it for so long that it comes natural to him and he finds that not always trying the same kinds of cases helps him to avoid becoming bored. It is also true that when you are good at something and have experienced nearly every conceivable twist and turn in these court cases, you have less stress and more success.

  Mr. Wells has been an AV rated attorney with Martindale Hubbell (its highest rating) for 25 years and prides himself on service to his clients based upon honesty and integrity. He has never been the subject of a bar complaint in 40 years of practice in often complicated and emotional cases. He has an enviable success rate with his trials including many reported decisions by the Nevada Supreme Court where he has successfully represented his clients on appeal.   Mr. Wells’ personal biography includes attending college at Nebraska Wesleyan University where he earned a bachelors degree in economics and played football, appearing on the television quiz show Jeopardy in 1971 when the program was still broadcast from New York City, and despite being involved in heavy divorce litigation for so many years, remains happily married to Irene for 40 years. They have three children and four grandchildren and enjoy traveling and golf when not devoting their time to their family. Irene has a masters degree in special education and still teaches at the J.F. Miller Campus in Las Vegas.

I take YAZ to lighten and shorten my periods . so far my period has lasted a month and a half and its in a weird pattern of heavy to light.. when i was examining the pills i noticed on the pink ones that there are letters DS on some but other pink pills dont have any letters. the ones without letters work the same as the ones with letters right?. i want my period to be short and light asap .
