  • Rex Townsley grew up in the piney woods at the Junction Community near Merryville, Louisiana. He was brought up and inspired by his mother, Gussie Townsley, who was a widow with five children. From an early age, Rex learned of the hardships created by the wrongful death of a loved one. This led him to an appreciation of the importance of hard work, commitment, and loyalty.

Rex earned his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Pre-Law from McNeese State University. He volunteered for military service in the U.S. Army Reserve as a Signal Corps Officer and soon achieved the rank of first Lieutenant with an honorable discharge upon completion of his military commitment. Rex was accepted into LSU Law School, where he obtained his law degree, a Doctorate in Jurisprudence in 1975.

Thus, his dream of becoming an attorney became a reality and for over 35 years, Rex has continued his commitment to fight for the rights of those in need.

He has earned a solid reputation by refusing to back down against corporations and insurance companies who seek to take advantage of those in need during times of stress and hardship, such as injury or the wrongful death of a loved one.

Rex’s legal experience with personal injury or loss, whether caused by large trucks, 18-wheelers, or the negligence of another, both on land and offshore is unparalleled. His accomplishments and reputation has earned him the respect of his fellow attorneys, achieving a peer nominated commendation attesting to his high ethical standards and professional abilities.

Rex has also received the prestigious certification of the American Society of Legal Advocates as one of the Top 100 Litigation Lawyers in the state of Louisiana. His dedication and skills have led to numerous multi-million dollar resolutions, verdicts, and settlements.

Rex proudly practices law with his nephew Todd Townsley, his son-in-law Marcus LaCombe and Damon Beard as well as the Associates at The Townsley Law Firm in Lake Charles, Louisiana. His litigation team includes other attorneys and staff members with an emphasis on Rex’s belief that each case is different, and every client deserves the best representation and advocacy possible.

Rex and The Townsley Law Firm are actively involved in the communities of Southwest Louisiana. They are partners-in-education for schools and proud sponsors for many non-profit organizations, such as, The Children’s Museum of Lake Charles, St. Nicholas Center for children with autism, Lake Charles Civic Ballet, McNeese Banners Cultural Series, Art and Writing Programs, and youth athletics.

When Rex is not fighting for the rights of the injured he enjoys spending time with his wife, children and grandchildren at "The Old Townsley Homestead" at the Junction Community near Merryville, Louisiana.

Another thing to look at is your resume and cover letter. You'd be surprised at how many well-educated people write resumes that are just plain unattractive to employers. Make sure that your cover letters are all meticulously proof-read (especially for writing jobs!) and that they are addressed specifically to the employer in question and explain your interest in the company and what you can do for them -- not a generic letter.

what does a power of attorney mean?

Are there any articles that can demonstrate the reason is indeed a slave to passion so that I can have concrete evidence for an essay I am writing? If so, can you give me those examples or sources that will help me find them?.

What are a few easy (and free) ways that I can advertise my website?

Hello my friend,. Don't really know what you mean by "website template" . program, but I CAN recommend to you a good content management system or CMS (for web sites it creates the whole thing).. . Now the best one for me is Drupal. But it requires one to know a little PHP programming.. . If you don't know any of that, try Joomla - it is really user friendly and there are alot of "TEMPLATES" premade for you.. . Now as to the cost - both of them are FREE.. . If you need help "templating" with Drupal or Joomla you can find alot of experts that will create a custom template for you on the website forums for some $ as well.

Or, go to your MARKETING REP and ask them for a sample.
