will he receive a medical discharge? probably not. he will get a CRIMINAL DISCHARGE. weed is illegal in most states (and in all states over a certain amount), and is illegal in the military, period, and always will be. you are correct - not even medical weed is allowed in the military. zero tolerance for illegal substances (and federal law trumps state law which trumps local ordinacnes) IS Z E R O tolerance.. . so forget the medical card. if he was injured to the point he can no lonmger perform his dutites, he should try to get out of the military first and try to get a medical discharge, and then a rating of disability from the VA...then if he wants to smoke himself into oblivion, by all means.... . on a personal note: you can do better in the BF department. i have never bought into the 'weed helps the pain' argument. the THC effects can be produced synthetically in other medications, there is no need to smoke it. a lot of people are looking for these medical cards because they want to be an idiot and smoke weed. it will lead to no good. employers can still elect to not hire pot heads. that will likely remain true as well. so if you love this guy, be prepared for a life likely in the lower socioeconomic circles...after all, that 'weed' is more important than having the nicer things in life.. . just my opinion. have yet to know anyone that smokes or smoked weed that i would not consider a total idiot (to include a couple of presidents i have worked for)

Sit down with Grandma and find out what she owes and to whom. Provided that she gives you a limited power of attorney to speak to creditors on her behalf, you will be able to negotiate the elimination of interest, etc., so that the debts can be paid off one by one.. . Lastly, you may want to contact other family members who would be willing to help. If each of you were to kick in only $50 a month, or $25 a paycheck, you could help Grandma be debt free in no time.. . Report CCA to their local BBB.

I work for a school district in NY. I got hire back in around May of 2003 in my interview I was told that while I was the fifth man on the crew, that I will be subject to working night hours during the active athletic outdoor season. I worked those night hours my first year then the foreman got fired and I became the fourth man and did not have to work those hours again until last fall of 2008 and again now in the sprint of 2009. Do verbal agreements count? can they change my working hours when ever they want to? our civil service contract clearly defines the work week to be M-F and they have switch my hours and work week to be T-S 12pm-8:30pm.
