When my mom passes away, (which will probably be in the next year or so,) my brother and I will receive a payout from her group life insurance policy since she was under 60 (she is suffering from cancer,) and also will receive a 'payout' of the balance of her pension 'retirement reserve' from the state of New Jersey, since she was a Teacher and it was the retirement plan she chose.. . I'm on my own here. I know Y!A isn't the best place to solicit financial advice but I'm only 23 and don't have much family besides my father who divorced my Mother and doesn't want to handle her estate.

Got a job in Big company. Was very Happy... But had a very bad experience with a job so eventually left it for health conditions gave proper resignation didn't abscond, couldn't serve notice period either.. After a month the company sent a letter for full and final settlement ask for some amount of money, unfortunately I couldn't pay coz of my financial problem. Plus I dont even want the experiance certificate.. . But after three months the company sent a legal notice that if I dont pay the sum with 18% interest for the last three months in just 15 days they'r going to sui me and I'm gonna be responsible for it.. But I cant pay . Dont know what to do really worried.. . Is there any way or any legal act where I dont have to pay and get out of this problem ?. and What would happens if the company Sui me ? will I goto jail ? Wont law or anyone understand my problem and have mercy on me and wave the charge ? Arnt there any Act or Law to get me out of this and save me ? Please help me.

I have no idea. It will depend on the courts and how many backed up files they have to process and when you can get a court date to appear in front of a judge.

At this point, you would probably have to petition the court where she is located in Texas to be appointed to oversee her affairs. You could try to do this on your own, but since you are doing this from halfway across the country, it would probably be easier if you could find an attorney in Texas to help guide you through the process.
