A living trust is free. It's a legal document, like a will. It simply forms a legal entity that can hold your assets (anything from cash money to property).. . Essentially what you do is write a will saying that upon your death everything goes to the trust. You can name it after yourself, like the John D. Smith Revocable Living Trust.. . Then you write up a formal legal document called a Revocable Living Trust (you can get free samples online, or meet with a lawyer). In the trust, you specify exactly what goes to whom, and put in any conditions you want. For example, my grandmother made cash gifts of specific amounts to four of her five grandchildren, and had the rest split between her three daughters (whoever was still living at that point).. . You'll also need to designate a trustee - someone who can handle all the legal and financial responsibility of transferring your assets to your daughter. It usually helps if this person is trustworthy and impartial

Power of Attorney is not really relevant here. Power of Attorney is the process by which one person acquires the ability to deal with another persons legal affairs due to that person no longer being of sound mind or ability to deal with those affairs themselves. The classic example is one where a son is granted the power to deal with his father's property due to the father no longer being able to do so due to mental illness such as Alzheimer's etc.
