And is it ok for my husband and I to ask the realtors questions? We're interested in the house-- fully... but don't want them to think they need to get other offers, I don't know, does it matter basically? Is there anything we could say to them that would hurt our chances? I guess that's what I'm asking in this last bit. But I'd like to know if the previous owners having an attorney is truly good or what.. oops, and one last thing: they told us it could take up to 2 months to hear back. 2 months tops. I of course have read it can take much longer than that. Can I rely on their up-to-2-months prediction, or are they talking out their rear? Is there any way to hold them to their statement? Long story short: Every time I see that I need to submit a cover letter with my resume, I freak out. This is the first impression! How do I make it a good one? I am very qualified for these positions but I don't know how to put that into words that won't be so mundane and boring to the hiring manager! I am mostly looking for administrative/clerical work because that is what I have more experience in than anything. Does anyone have any suggestions? Anyone want to write one for me? o_o

You are over thinking here. Almost all employers are more than willing to give good references if you have been a reasonable and reliable employee. Just ask. The personal letter that he/she will probably write is much better than any form letter that you could find.. . PS: A little confusing here. Are you just asking for a letter from your current employer or are you asking from a former employer. You don't need a letter for your current employer. A face to face is much more personal and will probably get better results.
